Satellite TV
Satellite television or Satellite TV is television transmitted by satellites located in the Earth’s orbit. The First satellite TV transmission was an 8-minute satellite broadcast and was relayed from France to US via Telstar I. Canada launched operation of Anik 1, which became the first satellite over North America. In 1973 Western Union launched Westar I satellite, which became the first domestic satellite for USA. The Westar I satellite was shortly followed by Westar II satellite.
